We have a Fellowship of Radio Scouters in The Netherlands, mainly focussing on JOTA, but in order to provide a Dutch counter station for the TDOTA event we will have PD13BP active during the upcoming TDOTA weekend. In fact, the call will be used in the period from 16 to 28 February 2013, thus including BP-day.

The plan is to operate all bands, all modes and from different locations throughout the period of time.

We are planning to run a station over the weekend and will probably be providing the facility for the 2st Redruth Girl Guides troop.

Location will be at the Club Meeting place at Gweal An Top with more details being announced at the meetings and on the website.

A chance to demonstrate the Amateur Radio hobby to youngsters who, just may, develop an interest as a result, this has happened in the past.

If you will be able to come alomng and help us run this event please leave a comment to that effect below.

Did everyone enjoy themselves? personally I thought it was very rnjoyable, a good natter serssion with excellent pasties provided, piping hot, by Andrew Rippon, a cake baked for us by Carol M6PCB who, unfortunatel;y, was not able to be with us on the evening and, some party delicasies baked for us by Treve M6TCV’s wife.

At the same time, Peter G3WKP, provided background music from accross the the years oncl;uding, opf course, Christmas tunes and Carols.

Please comment below if you were there to let us know how you enjoyed the evening.

* Not surprised, I use Ning for the Volkswagen Owners Club. It used to be free and then, BAM, monthly or annual charges applied. I chose the lowest level which permits no more than 50 members, allows one extension application only(I use the online project management tool, which is excellent (for the Jamboree)), does not permit video uploads any longer etc etc To get the full features that used to apply means shifting up through the gears and it gets very costly indeed. Level one is about £20 a year but the higher levels can be $250 a month upwards. Norman G4USB

Hi Mark, just found your comment on the site.

We have a system for course enquiries and if you visit the section of the site relating to examinations there is contact form ou can comnplete referring your question to our trainer Graham.

Current course is an Advanced this will be followed by an Intermediate so mid 2013 looks likely to be the next Foundation level.

With meetings twice each month at Gweal An Top School, Redruth why not pop along and say hello, we seldom bite!

Next will be 1st Novenber at around 7.15pm

Hi Phil, just got around to updating the websites and found your comment.

I knew some of the guys originally involved with the Cornishman project (before my ham radio days)
who sadly are no longer with us. there are still other senior members who can remember building and using the
Cornishman so we should be fine for having the knowledge to get it up and running.

Many thanks for your generosity in enabling a part of the Cornish Clubs history to come back home.
